A Florida man tried to board a plane to Orlando with a fake grenade.
st. The Augustine man was spotted by the officers while trying to board the Orlando plane with a fake grenade and a real unmounted rocket launcher.
According to a statement from the TSA, the contents of the bag were detected by the Transportation Security Administration’s security system while at Lehigh Valley International Airport.
TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said on Twitter that the bag contained a gun barrel, a sight, a trigger and a fake grenade.
According to the man, he believed that the replica grenade could be carried in an inspected bag. However, the TSA stated, “It is forbidden to carry replica or real weapons on airplanes.”
The man, whose banned materials were confiscated from his bag, continued his journey to Orlando.
