A Florida man invited the police to smoke marijuana.
BUNNELL, Florida (CBSMiami/CNN) — A Florida man showed police a marijuana plant and then invited him to smoke marijuana.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived in the eastern Florida town of Bunnel to check on the incident. Arthur Carracino, wearing a button-down shirt, showed the police a 2 meter cannabis plant found in his home.
The incident was captured by the Flagler County Sheriff’s officer’s camera.
The officer asks Carracino if he has a marijuana card.
Carracino said, “Yes, I have a marijuana card. I’m working on it, let’s talk.”
The officer asks, “Is this plant yours?”
Carracino replies, “Yes, it’s me.”
The officer said, “How did this plant grow like this? What did you give this plant, water?” he asks.
“I thought it would be easy to grow pottery in California,” Carracino said. How would you like to have a drink with me?”
The officer replies, “I can’t.”
Carracino says, “You’re working overtime, I know.”
As Carracino walks away, the officer asks him, “Where are you going?”
“I’ll take my pipe,” Carracino replies.
The officer says, “Do you know what’s going on right now?”
Carracino said, “Yes, I know. It’s two in the morning.”
The officer says, “It’s 2:45 in the morning.”
Carracino said, “I need a cup of coffee. Can we get coffee anywhere?” he asks.
The officer said, “No, we can’t. I’m arresting you.”
“For what?” Carracino asks.
The officer said, “For growing marijuana. Growing marijuana is illegal in Florida.”
