A Florida man was charged for distributing lethal fentanyl.
TAMPA, FLORIDA (CW44 News At 10) – A Florida man charged with possession and distribution of fentanyl which resulted in death.
Christopher A. Defilippis, 43, from Bradon, was accused on Tuesday, June 8th.
Defilippis could face a life sentence in federal prison on previous drug charges. According to the plan, Defilippis’ trial will be held on September 8, 2021.
According to the report, Defilippis distributed heroin in Hillsborough County in March and April 2020. On April 17, 2020, he distributed fatal fentanyl. Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office officials tracked Defilippis and found him dealing drugs in Hillsborough County. Authorities found that Defilippis was in possession of cocaine, fentanyl and related materials and arrested him.
An autopsy by the Hillsborough County Forensic Medicine Institute revealed that the victim died from fentanyl use. The fentanyl found in the victim’s body turned out to be very similar to that found in Defilippis.
