Florida Man Birthday June 25
After calling the parole officer, the man who missed the appointment threatened to blow up the office.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Florida man who threatened to blow up his parole office has been arrested, according to the Cocoa Beach Police Department.
An officer at the parole office received the call on Wednesday, according to the CBPD’s report. “I’m going to blow up the office at eight o’clock,” said one man on the call. Having said the same words twice, the man then ended the call.
The officer who answered the call informed his superior and the office was evacuated. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Joint Terrorism Taskforce were notified to identify the threat. K9 units were called in to search the parole office.
After the investigations, the number of the person who called the office reached 38-year-old Juan Christian. Christian was supposed to be at the office that day for a routine drug test, but he didn’t show up.
Officers called Christian to say he missed his parole appointment and requested a meeting at his home on Carolina Avenue.
According to the report, Christian admitted to making the threat. Christian said that he did not want to go to his date as the reason for the threat and that he did not want his parole to be violated.
Christian was arrested on probation violation charges and bomb threat charges. He is being held in prison without bail.
