Florida man traveling the country with his fiancee held responsible for woman’s disappearance

The incident took place in the North Port area of Florida. The Florida man, who is traveling the country with his 22-year-old fiancee, is blamed for the woman’s disappearance. Moreover, the Florida man is the number one suspect in the investigation opened after the woman disappeared.

According to a statement by the North Port Police Department, 22-year-old Gabrielle Petito’s main suspect after her disappearance was his fiancee, Brian Laundrie. It is estimated that Gabrielle Petito was last in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park when she lost contact with her family.

Laundrie and Petito went on a van trip in July, Gabrielle Petito’s family told the police. Research on social media revealed that the couple traveled to Colorado and Utah, visiting Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands and Arches national parks.

Laundrie and Petito were recording their documents. They were doing this on YouTube under the pseudonym Nomadic Statik and Van Life. While traveling, they were driving a 2012 Ford Transit. According to police records, Brian Laundrie had returned to North Port, but Gabrielle Petito was not with him.

The van used for the trip was checked by FBI agents on Tuesday evening and a search for evidence was carried out. Although Brian Laundrie returned to North Port on September 1, the missing person’s report for Gabrielle Petito was made on September 11. The cops stated that there was no indication that a crime had been committed in North Port.

According to police media information, Brian Laundrie was not willing to provide investigators with additional information and did not help investigators to resolve the incident. It can be said that the police teams seeking additional information are at a dead end for the time being in terms of the course of the investigation.

“We’re asking everyone to share information about Gabrielle Petito,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said in a statement. Garrison also said: “Brian Laundrie continues to provide incomplete information and this is hindering the course of the investigation. But answers will eventually emerge.”

The North Port Police Department said investigators were sent “hundreds of different leads, which were investigated by multiple agencies,” but they needed more. Therefore, anyone who may have seen the trailer should reach out to the police for additional information. The FBI established a national hotline at 1-800-225-5324.

“As a father, I can only imagine the pain that Gabrielle Petito’s family went through. We will help find her and ensure that the person or persons responsible for her disappearance receive appropriate punishment,” Todd Garrison said on Wednesday. The prime suspect, Brian Laundrie, has yet to be charged with a crime.
