Authorities arrested a man in Florida who uttered antisemitic remarks and threw bags of excrement outside a synagogue.
Hallandale Beach police arrested a man named Jeffrey Carl Fleming for using human excrement and making antisemitic remarks.
According to Captain Pedro Abut’s statement, 39-year-old Fleming was caught on videotape in South Broward on Friday. Fleming had no shoes and was wearing a robe. After leaving the area, he returned and threw human excrement in his hand towards the synagogue, then uttered words that increased the hate crime: “Jews must die.”
The report also stated that he spit on the menorah on the sidewalk.
Fleming is held without bail at Broward County Jail.
