MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Florida man is accused of buying a Lamborghini and miscellaneous items using Covid aid.
A man named David Hines has been charged with bank fraud, making false statements to a financial institution, and making illegal proceeds and transactions.
According to the report, Hines allegedly took out nearly $13.5 million in fraudulent loans to help the Paycheck Protection Program on behalf of many insured companies. According to reviews, Hines’ $3.9 million loan is said to have been approved for the Paycheck Protection Program.
Allegedly, Hines bought the 2020 model Lamborghini Huracan with $ 318,000 of the money in these funds.
