Florida man arrested for shooting on motorcycle gang fight on Interstate 4

The incident took place in Polk County, Florida. There was a clash between people on motorcycles who came face to face on Interstate 4. A Florida man has been held responsible for the shooting that left a woman fatally injured.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd gave a broad statement on the incident. According to the first incident report created, Florida deputy sheriffs evaluated the 911 calls. One of the reports included a motorcycle accident and the other two people were injured by gunfire and taken to hospital.

Polk County Sheriff Judd stated at the press conference that they quickly determined that the incident was not a motorcycle accident and was a gunshot incident. Explaining the findings obtained within the scope of the investigation, Judd stated that the incident was handled meticulously.

Ronald Donovan was riding on Interstate 4 with a woman. Meanwhile, two more motorcyclists passed by. These two motorcycle riders were a member of a motorcycle gang. But Donovan was similarly a member of another motorcycle gang.

One of the other two motorcyclists was traveling at over 100 mph on the highway, Donovan fired and hit him in the back. According to Sheriff Judd, he was the first person to be shot while riding his motorcycle. A gunfight broke out between the motorcyclists.

Shot in the back, the man turned and began shooting at Donovan. As a result of the fire he opened, the woman next to Donovan was shot in the head. The woman fell off the motorcycle after being shot in the head. Everything that happened was included in the first incident report produced by the sheriff’s deputies.

Sheriff Judd paused frequently when speaking of the female victim at the press conference. Sometimes he described her as dead, sometimes he tried to call her mortally wounded. Even if it is learned that the condition of the woman in the hospital remains serious, the situation is not clear.

When sheriff’s deputies began questioning Donovan about the incident, they realized he had two holsters but no gun. Sheriff’s deputies said they saw another motorcyclist dressed in the same color as Donovan’s gang. Sheriff Judd stated that he thought this man had evidence of the incident.

Sheriff Judd said during questioning that Donovan did not cooperate with investigators. Authorities arrested Donovan for causing fatal injuries to the woman, attempted second-degree grievous murder, and battering a law enforcement officer.

Sheriff Judd stated that if the woman dies, these charges will turn into felony murder. He also announced that Donovan would be charged with attempted murder of another person. Sheriff Judd said the investigation into the incident was ongoing and information had been obtained from independent witnesses.
