Florida Man Birthday May 23
A Florida man driving on Interstate 4 has been spotted on the car’s sunroof.
POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA – In footage caught on camera Tuesday afternoon, a Florida man was on the roof of the vehicle while it was cruising.
A man named Leonard Olsen was accused of careful driving.
An officer stopped Olsen near US 98 and Wedgewood Estates Avenue in Polk County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement.
According to investigators, the cops received a report that Olsen was driving while on Interstate 4 with the sunroof. According to the police statement, Olsen wanted to surrender.
According to the FHP report, Olsen said, “I’m sick of my wife treating me like a maid. She is a mistress.” Olsen said to a military officer, “Lock me. It’s better to stay in jail than go home” he said.
When the authorities asked Olsen if he was the person in the video, Olsen replied, “Yes, it is me.” Olsen said the cruise control was on and the car was driving itself.
A statement from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Olsen had an arrest warrant for domestic violence at the time of his arrest.
Authorities spoke to Olsen by phone on Tuesday. Olsen has agreed to surrender to PSCO’s Northwest Disctrict headquarters in North Lakeland.
Olsen’s Cadillac car was towed.
