Florida Man Birthday May 18
A Florida man was bitten by a rattlesnake.
UPI – A Florida man was bitten while trying to kiss the rattlesnake’s tongue, officials said.
Putnam County resident Ron Reinold was hospitalized on Tuesday after being bitten by a rattlesnake. After the intervention, Reinold’s family said in a statement that he has recovered and is expected to continue with his life.
According to an eyewitness neighbor, Reinold was drinking while holding the snake.
He looked calm until Reinold approached the snake and tried to kiss it, but the snake suddenly bit him.
According to the description of Charles Goff, who found the snake, Reinold was bitten by the snake after he said he would kiss the snake. “Ron was acting stupid. He thought he could simply kiss the snake, but it didn’t work out as he thought.”
Officials declared the snake to be the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, one of the 16 most venomous species of rattlesnake found in the United States.
By law, it is illegal to feed an unlicensed rattlesnake in Florida.
