A Florida man shot the tires of his AT&T truck, which he thought was blocking his driveway.
A Florida man tried to find a solution by shooting at his AT&T truck, which he claimed was blocking his driveway. The solution the man came up with was quite dangerous.
Video taken by an AT&T employee shows a 64-year-old Florida man shooting the tires of a parked truck in Hialeah with a large gun.
The incident took place Wednesday after Jorge Jove became angry at the location of two parked trucks, according to a Hialeah police statement. AT&T trucks were repairing overhead lines when Jove walked out of his house with a gun in hand.
“I think the landlord was pissed that AT&T trucks were closing his garage,” Hialeah Police Sergeant Carl Zogby told the Miami Herald.
Taking a large gun with him and moving slowly, Jove fired at the tires of the parked truck. When the bullets hit the tire, they fired at the tires of the second truck.
An AT&T employee who called 911 said, “The parked truck is under fire and someone inside the truck cannot get down because of the shooting.”
Authorities arrived on the scene a short time later and arrested Jove. Jove was charged with two counts of assault with a gun and vandalism. Jove was taken to prison and released in the evening.
According to Florida news sources, Jove had no prior history of crime and violence and was a veteran of the Miami-Dade Fire Department.
“His neighbors don’t have a negative opinion of Jove either,” Sergeant Zogby told CBS Miami.
