Recently, residents of Daytona Beach Shores witnessed an interesting event. A Florida man stole an alligator from a golf course. He then released it into the restaurant located near the beach. People in the restaurant started to panic. Police quickly caught the Florida man.
Police said the 32-year-old man stole the alligator to “take revenge on those at the restaurant.” The man did not cause any difficulty while being arrested. The alligator in the restaurant was taken back to its natural habitat with the support of FWC officials.
No one noticed the Florida man until he approached the restaurant with an alligator in one hand. The first people to notice were two women in their 40s sitting by the window. There was a great panic in the restaurant when the women started to run away screaming.
The man panicked and the alligator escaped from the man’s hand, but did not head into the restaurant. The angry man took out the gun from his waist and walked towards the restaurant. Inside, he overturned several tables and cursed and threatened people.
Daytona Beach Shores police arrived on the scene shortly. The man was continuing to swear at people with the gun in his hand. However, when he realized that the police were coming, he surrendered. Despite this, he continued to exhibit suspicious movements.
When the police searched the man, drugs were found in one of his pockets. They also found a piece of paper with a phone number written on it in his back pocket. Florida man accused of stealing an alligator, possessing an alligator, using drugs and trying to injure people.
The Florida man confessed to where he stole the alligator. He shared the information of where he obtained the drugs. The alligator was found in a green area a few miles away. FWC officials took it to its natural habitat. They stated that the animal was not harmed in any way.
