The incident took place in Beverly Hills, Florida. A Florida man set fire to a statue of Jesus along with two houses. In South Wadsworth, one of three places set fire by Harris, the house suffered the most damage from the fire. According to law enforcement officials, the house on South Barbaour Street was set on fire, first the fence outside the house was set on fire. Later, a liquid, possibly gasoline, was poured into the windows of the house, amplifying the effect of the flames.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, which quickly started an investigation into the incident, identified Harris from the footage obtained and captured him.

While being questioned by investigators, Harris confessed to all of the arsons he committed. The reason for the arson was not included in the first report. Harris was charged with four different crimes, including church arson and home arson.
