The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office announced that a man from the city of Clearwater has been arrested. In the statement regarding the arrest, it was mentioned that the man deliberately crushed a woman. After the man had run over the woman, he got out of his car and then punched her. The Florida man was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on Thursday.

Sheriff’s deputies received a tip about the beating of a woman. The sheriff’s deputies immediately took action. The sheriff’s office has issued an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Daniel Patregnani. On the arrest warrant, Patregnani was charged with first-degree attempted murder.

Investigators said Patregnani deliberately hit a woman. According to the statements made about the incident, Patregnani ignored the traffic rules in the Pineda Causeway (aka Florida State Road 404) area, located east of Interstate 95. While doing this, he hit a woman with his car.

Then Patregnani stopped his car and got out of his car. He was naked when he got out of the car. He grabbed the woman he hit with his car, dragged her on the ground, punched her, and tried to strangle her. Several law enforcement officers who were close to the crime scene but were not on duty at the time captured Patregnani.

When Brevard County sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, they detained Patregnani. The woman who was the victim of the accident was immediately taken to a local hospital nearby. The sheriff’s office announced that the treatment was progressing as desired, but the woman’s life-threatening condition continued.

Patregnani was charged with attempted murder in the first degree. He was later sent to the Brevard County Jail Complex without bail. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and no further information can be shared at this time. Authorities urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to assist the sheriff’s office.
