A man attacked Jimmy John’s employee during an argument over the sandwich.
A Boca Raton man attacked a restaurant employee on Saturday. The man was accused of punching the employee and was arrested.
According to the West Palm Beach police arrest report, the man who fled from the cops who came to arrest the attacker also resisted the arrest process.
The man, named Matthew James Visconti, was arrested on charges of battering the officer, battering, resisting arrest, vigorously resisting arrest, and drunkenness. The man held at Palm Beach County Penitentiary was released on Sunday after paying $6,000 in bail.
Police officers arrived at Jimmy Jhon’s sandwich restaurant around 10 pm. When the officers arrived, Visconti was nervous about the sandwich he had paid for but did not receive. It caught the attention of the officers that Visconti was drunk.
The store manager, who was attacked by Visconti, had a cut on his nose.
After the attack, Visconti started walking east on Clematis Street. Visconti, who was asked to return for the investigation, cursed this call and said, “Why will I return?”
