A Florida man has been charged with a fight that ended in death.
MIAMI – According to the news of CBSMiami, a man from South Florida had an argument with his neighbor about the dog pooping in the garden. The man faced first-degree murder charges for murdering his neighbor.
The indictment against 66-year-old Omar Rodriguez was presented by the jury on Wednesday.
According to a Miami-Dade police statement, the man named Jose Rey allowed his dog to defecate in Rodriguez’s son’s garden. Rodriguez fired two shots at Rey for this reason. Rey died after surgery due to her injuries.
According to Rodriguez’s lawyer, Rey said he chased Rodriguez with a knife and started the fight.
The Miami Herald described Rodriguez’s shooting as the pinnacle of threat and stalking crimes for years. Although Rodriguez has been arrested for various crimes, he has never received a prison sentence.
Rodriguez’s neighbors have filed more than 140 complaints as of 2008. In addition, Rodriguez has many lawsuits filed against the police and his neighbors.
