A Florida man was arrested for proposing to sexual activity with a 9-year-old boy.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA (CW44 News At 10) – A federal jury has charged a Florida man with inciting a 9-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity and distributing sexual abuse videos to children online.

Garret Eric Weber, 30, of Green Cove Springs, could face a minimum of 15 years and life in federal prison if all charges are brought against him. He could also face a $1 million fine and a life sentence on probation.

Weber was arrested by Green Cove Spring Police Department officials during a traffic stop on July 5, 2021. On July 7, he was detained without bail.

According to documents submitted in court, Weber uploaded a picture of a child’s sexual abuse to a chat group with the name “BUBLESXD_90” on a social media application. After investigations, Weber’s identity was also revealed.

An FBI agent pretending to be the parent of a young child since March 2021 contacted Weber using the social media app. After the conversation between the two, Weber offered to be the child’s trainer by engaging in sexual activity with the child. He asked the child’s parent to take a photo for him and gave specific instructions for this.

Weber shared parent videos of the sexual abuse of young children online to show that he plans to molest at least seven children.
