Brutality knows no bounds: Florida man arrested for deliberately crushing ducklings playing in a puddle
A Florida man has been arrested for deliberately crushing ducklings playing in a puddle, officials said. While two of the ducklings died at the scene, one tried to hold on to life despite his broken bones and was taken to the hospital.
The animal murder in question took place just before 8 p.m. on Sunday evening. Law enforcement officers encountered many different witnesses who saw the incident after their investigation. James Clairmont was driving west on Orange Drive when he began his journey in his Ford truck.
There were 11 ducklings and a mother duck playing in a puddle in the middle of the road. Two witnesses, one of whom was a child, testified that Clairmont slowed down as he drove over a speed bump, then deliberately accelerated and drove his truck into the ducklings.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses called out to Clairmont to slow down and stop his vehicle with all their might to save the ducklings’ life. Despite this, Clairmont, who did not stop, crushed three of the ducklings with his truck. While two of the crushed puppies died on the spot, one was rushed to the hospital.
Later, Clairmont fled to his home, which was one street away from the scene of the incident. When the police investigating the case asked Clairmont about the ducklings, Clairmont replied that there were no ducklings on the way. He remained silent when the cops asked him to explain the blood and duck feathers on the wheel of his truck.
He was pretty drunk when the cops caught Clairmont. He had a speech disorder, his eyes were red and watery. He also had a strong smell of alcohol. Clairmont is accused of aggravated animal cruelty while investigations continue.
