Florida Man Birthday April 9

A Florida man was killed with an ax in a fight over beer and lottery tickets.

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA – The murderer of the man who was killed in a fight over beer and lottery tickets in the 2100 block of South Westmoreland Drive near Kaley Street was arrested Friday night, sheriff’s deputies said.

The victim, 69-year-old John Stubbs, and a 45-year-old man named Joseph Robinson were fighting, while Stubbs was trying to get away from the fight, sheriff’s deputies said. Finding an ax, Robinson advanced towards Stubbs and attacked him with an ax.

Stubbs’ relatives said the victim had 11 children and his wife had died six months earlier.

“Justice will be served,” said Stubbs’ nephew.

One of the witnesses said that Robinson approached Stubbs from behind. “He approached from the back of the truck and called twice,” said witness Annie Macon.

According to witnesses and relatives, the discussion took place before 15:00. The subject of discussion was beer and lottery tickets.

The suspect’s identity was determined by the surrounding witnesses. After a 6-hour search by the sheriff’s deputies, Robinson was caught and arrested.

Stubbs was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he died.

Robinson was sent to the Orange County Jail.
