A Florida man who is said to be ill put a laxative in his child’s medicine
FLAGLER COUNTY, FLORIDA — A Florida man is accused of adding a laxative to his child’s medication. This change made by the man causes the child to experience gastrointestinal problems and seek medical attention.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office statement, the 14-year-old’s mother noticed that the boy’s belongings were missing and that the capsules were opened and resealed. According to the researches of the woman, the substitute for drugs is laxatives.
The woman is installing security cameras in the house. In the footage captured on camera, a man named Craig Ripple pours water on the children’s beds and takes their belongings.
Among the information the woman gave to the authorities is that the child suffered from gastrointestinal disorders and although he had a colonoscopy and endoscopy in 2018, the doctors could not find anything wrong.
Sheriff’s deputies communicated with doctors from 2018, when drugs began to change, to 2019. During this time, they learned that the children gained weight.
According to the report, Ripple admitted to changing her child’s medication. However, she said that she did this behavior because she thought her child would feel better. Ripple said that he was not respected, so he spilled water on the boy’s bed.
Ripple was arrested for replacing 11 of the 28 capsules with a laxative after laboratory investigations.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said: “It’s a very interesting case. A sick man changes the boy’s medication without his mother’s knowledge. “I hope the courts will be cruel to this man, this behavior is quite dangerous.”
Ripple has been accused of child abuse and child neglect.
